Our social commitment

The Ronald McDonald Haus in Kiel provides a temporary home for families with critically ill children. The families are housed in one of the apartments in the building to help them support their sick children while they are being treated at the neighbouring university clinic. We have sponsored apartment no. 5 at the Ronald McDonald Haus in Kiel since 2012.

Since 2006, we have sponsored a child in either Africa, Asia, Central America or South America for every employee. At present, we sponsor 60 children and take great pleasure in following their development. Plan International is an international children’s aid organisation that operates in countries of the Global South and advocates for children’s rights. It is our goal to help children grow up healthy and develop freely. This is based on a foundation of school education and healthcare.

We have cooperated with the Drachensee Foundation for over 20 years. It is one of the largest social institutions in Schleswig-Holstein and offers a wide range services to people with disabilities. Around 80 employees in the Drachensee metalworking department are engaged in producing Original LÖWE cutters and pruners.

A loving refuge for wild animals of numerous species that would have lost their lives without our help. This sanctuary in Harnas takes in injured and endangered animals and cares for them to give them a second chance in life. With sincere dedication, we are committed to giving these animals a protected and dignified existence.
