Where Team Spirit Grows: A Morning at Our Traditional Orchard
When things start to get busy in our orchard meadow in March, one thing is clear: it’s pruning season at Original LÖWE.
Out of the office, into the apple orchard
In a place where foxes and hares usually say “good night” to each other, our office team left their daily routines behind and headed out among the apple trees. Colleagues from all departments rolled up their sleeves and got to work—with the help of professional landscape gardener Lars Mirold, who also gave us a hands-on mini-workshop along the way.
Every cut has its own philosophy
Between tentative first cuts and surprisingly decisive radical pruning, it quickly became clear: Everyone has their own way of handling the cutting tool choice. Pruning trees may not be rocket science, but it’s certainly a philosophy in its own right. And, as you’d expect, the same goes for choosing the right cutting tool.
Tools in Real-World Use
The sales and product management teams opened up their toolboxes, allowing us to thoroughly test all the scissor models. Everything was there, from powerful heavy-duty tools to our favorite lightweight, fast-cutting scissors. Everyone quickly realized which ones felt comfortable in their hands—and why. It was fascinating: Many of us work with these products every day, but we rarely get to try out the full range of our product line in real-world use.
More than just product training
What might sound a bit like a product training session was actually much more than that. It was a casual team event held in bright sunshine. A relaxed get-together against the impressive backdrop of what is probably Germany’s smallest vineyard, right in the middle of the company grounds. A day that shows what makes us who we are: working together, learning from one another—and truly connecting with the things we develop.
